At the AAU Meet 440y, George Schiller was third in 1923 and fifth in the 1920. The fifth-place finish in 1920 allowed him to be selected for the Olympic Team. He competed for Southern Cal (USC) and the Los Angeles AC. Schiller, who was born to an American father and a Dutch mother, captained the USC track team in 1921. He later worked as a civil engineer.
