Sam Schwartz competed in the 10 km walk at the 1912 Olympics, but did not make the final. He was a New York native who competed for the Pastime AC as a walker. Very little is known of his life, although he was noted to be one of three Jewish athletes on the 1912 USA Olympic team, along with Alvah Meyer and Abel Kiviat.
