Frank Shea was AAU 440y champion in 1917 and 1919-20. He also won the 440y at the 1918 IC4A Meet for the University of Pittsburgh. After graduating from college Shea attended law school at Pittsburgh, and also worked as an assistant track coach at the school. He practiced law in Allegheny and Westmoreland Counties in Pennsylvania from 1923-42.
