Roland Sink was AAU mile champion in 1945, runner-up in 1948, and placed third in the 1,500 at the 1948 NCAAs. He competed for USC and the Los Angeles AC. Sink earned a masters’ degree from Redlands University in business and education. He later became a professor of mathematics and accounting at Pasadena City College.
