Biography

While at Harvard, Willard Tibbetts won the IC4A two mile title, both indoors and outdoors, in 1926. He was also the IC4A cross-country champion in 1925. He earned his place on the 1924 Olympic team by finishing fourth in the 3,000 m at the Final Trials and in Paris he placed 11th individually Tibbets; took up a career as an investment banker, working for the Boston firm of White, Wild & Co.
