Biography

Austrian track & field athlete Karl Lampelmayer qualified for the 1906 Olympics when he won the 400 metres (54.8) and the long jump (5.94 m), and finished second in the triple jump at the Austrian selection competition held in WAC Field Vienna (Wien) on 8 April 1906. He then participated in the 100 metres, 400 metres, long jump, and triple jump at the 1906 Intercalated Athens Games with limited success. He was also nominated for the 1908 London Olympics but did not start.
