Austrian wrestler Rudolf Lindmayer won the 1901 Austrian lightweight championship. He then won the silver medal at the 1906 Intercalated Athens Games in the middleweight Greco-Roman class. He was also a member of the Austrian tug-of-war team that finished fourth and last after defeats by Germany (2-0) and Sweden (2-0).
