Perkiss reached his one and only ATP singles final in September 1984 in Tel Aviv, Israel, where he lost in straight sets to American Aaron Krickstein. Perkiss won his only ATP doubles title three years later, also in Tel Aviv, with his partner Gilad Bloom.
Perkiss competed in the singles at the 1988 Seoul Olympics but lost in the first round to Javier Frana. He had better success the following year when he won gold and silver at the Maccabiah Games. After retiring as a player he later became the CEO of the Israel Tennis Association.
