Sue Forbes was from Alaska but attended Dartmouth, graduating in 1992 with a degree in math and science. She later did graduate work at the University of Alaska. Forbes won the Seawolf Triathlon in Alaska in 1984-85, which consisted of kayaking, running, and cross-country skiing. Internationally her best races in cross-country skiing were two fifth places in Continental Cup in 1993 at Thunder Bay, Ontario. In 1995 she moved from one extreme to the other, settling on Molokai, in Hawai’i.
