West German women’s single figure skater Marina Kielmann was tenth in both the 1988 Calgary and 1992 Albertville Winter Olympics. Kielmann also participated in seven World Championships from 1988-95 and had her best result of fourth in 1994. At European Championships, she won a silver medal in 1994 and three bronzes in 1990-91 and 1993. From 1991-93 she was the German national champion.
Kielmann was also active as a roller skater, and was world champion runner-up in 1990. In 1988 and 1989 she won the bronze medal. At the Europeans she added silver medals in 1988 and 1989, and was national champion in 1989 and 1990.
Kielmann skated with Holiday on Ice for many years from 1995. She later became a graduated figure skating coach. Until 2009, she worked with the administration of her home club TSC Eintracht Dortmund, before moving to Berlin.
