Adriana Serra-Zanetti

Adriana Serra-Zanetti was an Italian tennis player who played professionally from 1992 to 2007. Serra-Zanetti achieved a career-best singles ranking of #38 in the world in February 2002, and a doubles ranking of #69 in the world in June 2002. She played on Italy’s Fed Cup team from 1995 to 2002.

Serra-Zanetti won her one and only ITF singles title in November 1997 in Ramat HaSharon, Israel, with a straight sets victory over Katarina Srebotnik. Serra-Zanetti reached four ITF doubles finals but finished as the runner-up each time. She had more success on the WTA Tour, winning three out of the four doubles finals she played in. At Grand Slams her best performance came in the singles at the 2002 Australian Open when she reached the quarter-finals where she lost to Martina Hingis. Serra-Zanetti competed in the singles at the 1996 Atlanta Olympics but lost in the first round to Wang Shi-Ting.
