Biography

Beth Madsen had a relatively short career on the US Ski Team, lasting from 1985-88. She posted a single top 10 in a World Cup slalom. In 1987 Madsen was second at the US Championships in giant slalom, and finished 15th in combined at the 1987 World Championships. She graduated from the University of Colorado, and later married Phil McNichol, the long-time coach of the US women’s ski team, and she has raised a family and volunteers at local ski races.
