Margie Mahoney was on the US ski team from 1969-77. She was an Anchorage, Alaska native, who skied for the Nordic Ski Club of Anchorage and attended Alaska Methodist University, graduating in 1975. In 1971, Mahoney won the 5K at the Fairbanks Invitational and the Alaskan Division Championships. She later became a Nordic ski instructor for the Nordic Ski Club and Alaska Ski Academy.
