Biography
After the 1960 Squaw Valley Winter Games West German alpine skier Anneliese Meggl married a US citizen and became a Vail resident. At Squaw Valley she narrowly missed a bronze medal in the downhill, finishing sixth, and also competed in the giant slalom (fifth) and slalom (13th). She was West German downhill champion in 1959.
