Chris Scheels was an all-around speedskater who competed at the 1994 Lillehammer Winter Olympics when she was only 17-years-old. She competed four times at the World Junior All-Around (1993-96), winning a bronze medal in 1995, and placing eighth in 1994. In addition to her Olympic appearance, Scheels also competed at the 1995 World All-Around Championships. Scheels stopped skating competitively while still a teenager because of a career ending injury and never reached her full potential.
