Louise Weigel skated singles at both the 1932 and 1936 Winter Olympics. She was runner-up in singles at the US Championships twice, in 1934 and 1936, and finished third at the 1932, 1933, and 1935 Championships. Weigel’s sister, Estelle, also competed in figure skating singles at the 1936 Winter Olympics. Louise later married Edward Atwill, Vice-President of the Iroquois Brewing Company in Buffalo.
