Mikael Andersson played for four clubs during his career – Kiruna AIF (1975-79), MoDo AUK (1979-83), IF Björklöven (1983-88, 1992-94), and Västra Frölunda HC 1988-92). With Björklöven, Andersson won a Swedish title in 1987. Internationally, Andersson won Olympic bronze in 1988 and was a World Champion in 1987. He was awarded the Stora Grabbars Märke (Big Boys’ Badge) #142 in ice hockey. After finishing his sporting career, Andersson worked as an ice hockey coach with IF Björklöven, Timrå IK and Luleå HF.
