A native of Ware, Massachusetts, Piet Biesiadecki sat in the 2-seat for a US sled that won the 1953 4-man world championships, although he never rode on a US, nor a North American champion. Biesiadecki was a career soldier who was in the US Army in World War II, Korea, and Vietnam, serving from 1946-67. A Massachusetts native, he was buried at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio.
