Hungarian ice hockey player Péter Bikár spent the first ten years of his career playing for BVSC in the 1960s. Early in his playing days Bikár was named in the Hungarian squad for the 1964 Innsbruck Olympics, with him scoring in their 6–2 defeat to Poland. He continued to play for the national side over the next decade, featuring at multiple editions of the World Championships. After not playing during the 1970–71 season, Bikár joined Ferencvárosi TC in 1971, spending the next four seasons with the team. His final seasons were at Székesfehérvári Volán where he retired at the end of the 1970s. Following his playing career Bikár worked as a coach with the Hungarian national team in the early 1980s. He was inducted into the Hungarian Ice Hockey Hall of Fame in 2014. His father Dénes Birkás played both ice hockey and field hockey, competing in the latter at the 1936 Berlin Olympics.
