Bruno Burrini was an Italian Alpine skier in the 1950s. He was shy and reserved, but wrote important pages in the history, sport, economic, and social development of Madonna di Campiglio together with his father Celso (in charge of the first Spinale chairlift), his brother Gino Burrini (Alpine skiing champion), and his wife Rosetta Binelli, a poet who explained the culture, environment, and mentality of the pioneers of the tourist resort.
As a young man Burrini worked on the ski lifts, then as a taxi driver in summer, and as a ski instructor in winter, an activity that he honored with great professionalism until the early 2000s. Competitively, his specialty was the downhill, winning the 1952 Italian title in downhill, and at the 1956 Cortina Winter Olympics he finished ninth in downhill, in the race won by Toni Sailer.
