Mario Casasus competed in bobsledding for Mexico at the 1928 Winter Olympics. He was a military officer, serving with the Supply Service of the American General Headquarters. He was later involved in an extra-marital affair with Edith Kelly, aka Mrs. Frank Gould, and Casasus was named in divorce papers as a cause of the Gould’s estrangement.
