After missing the opening match against Sweden, Johnny “Red” Coward of Richmond Hawks played at left-wing in the remaining six matches at the 1936 Olympics. He was also a member of the British team at the 1937 World Championships. When his hockey career in Britain ended, Coward settled in Canada.
