Biography

Jim Denney was US ski jumping champion in 1976 and 1980. He was the top American jumper of the late 1970s, finishing 14th at the 1978 World Championships on the normal hill, and winning a World Cup normal hill event that year in Lahti, Finland. Denney graduated from the University of Minnesota at Duluth, graduating with a major in accounting and a minor in economics. In 2008 he was inducted into the American Ski Jumping Hall of Fame.
