Biography

Reinhold Durnthaler won two silver medals in four-man bobsledding at the 1964 and 1968 Winter Olympics. He was on the 1967 World Champion bob in two-man, and also won a bronze medal at the 1963 World Championships in four-man.

At the European Championships, Durnthaler won gold medals in two-man in 1967 and 1969 and a silver in the four-man in 1967, serving as a brakeman for Erwin Thaler. Durnthaler grew up in Feldkirchen and studied in Innsbruck, later working there as a dentist.
