Heiko Fischer was a West German single figure skater who placed tenth at the 1984 Sarajevo and ninth at the 1988 Calgary Winter Olympics. He also took part in the 1983-86 and 1988 World Championships, always finishing between sixth and eighth. He competed at the European Championships from 1982-86 and in 1988, never ascending a podium, as he missed the 1987 season due to an injury. Fischer won five West German national titles in 1982-83, 1985-86 and 1988.
Fischer collapsed while playing squash in 1989 and died of chronic and acute myocarditis in the Sindelfingen hospital. Fischer was married and had a son.
