Bruno Frison

Bruno Frison was a former Italian ice hockey player who spent his entire career with the Sportivi Ghiaccio Cortina team, a club with which he won 12 Italian championships: 1957, 1959, 1961-62, 1964-68, and 1970-72.

A forward, his début came in 1953 thanks to Armando Apollonio, a mentor in Cortina, and ended in the 1973-74 season in the only year in which he played for Alleghe. He played with and against great Italian hockey players of the 1950-60s such as the Da Rin brothers and the ABC line (Agazzi, Branduardi and Crotti), and against the great Soviet and Czechoslovakian players.

With the national team Frison was called for the first time at the age of 20 in view of the Cortina Olympics in which, however, he did not compete. Frison had to wait eight years to finally compete at the 1964 Innsbruck Olympics where he scored one of two goals of Italy against Sweden in the qualifying round.
