Biography

Ulrico Girardi was born in Cortina d’Ampezzo and was a bobsledder from his childhood. He joined the team of the promising pilot Eugenio Monti and won a title at the Italian Championships in 1954, with a third place in 1955. In Monti’s four-man bob Girardi won a silver medal in his native Cortina d’Ampezzo in 1956. After the Olympics he was less successful with no significant results at the international level.
