Lloyd Guenther competed in major speed skating competitions in the US from 1927-32, winning the 1928 Adirondack Gold Cup. He was tied for second at the 1928 US Indoors All-around, and placed second at an international meet in Pittsburgh in 1927. Guenther was inducted into the Michigan Amateur Sports Hall of Fame in 1975.
