Walter Habersatter was an Austrian ski jumper who competed from 1955-71 and participated at the 1956 Cortina d’Ampezzo Winter Olympics. His greatest success came in 1958-59 when he placed second in the Four Hills Tournament (Vierschanzentournee), highlighted by his victory that year at Bischofshofen.
Habersatter became a confectioner and innkeeper. He was the former managing director of the Königslehenberg lifts and the Zauchenseeliftgesellschaft and was President of the Salzburg Sportwelt Amade. He was a supervisory board member of the Radstadt Savings Bank, a lieutenant in the civil guard, an honorary member of the Schiclub Radstadt, and a committee member of the Wirtschaftskammener Salzburg. His daughter-in-law Brigitte Totschnig won a silver medal in the women’s downhill at the 1976 Innsbruck Winter Olympics.
