Vlastimil Hajšman was a Czechoslovak ice hockey player who spent most of his career with České Budějovice. Hajšman came to the sport relatively late when he was 12-years-old, but soon became a good player who was noted for his speed, with him scoring more than 150 league goals. He also played in 50 match for Czechoslovakia, scoring 24 goals. In 1952 he was part of the team that finished fourth at the Oslo Olympics, which also served as both the World and European Championships, resulting in Czechoslovakia winning silver as part of the latter. In 1955 Hajšman won bronze at the World Ice Hockey Championships. In addition to being a school professor he also worked as an ice hockey coach.
