Karl Heinzle was an ice hockey defence playing at the 1994 Lillehammer Winter Olympics representing Austria. The team was eliminated in the group stage and finally placed 12th and last, after losing the match for 11th place to Norway 3-1. Heinzle won 55 international caps and scored five (2+3) points.
At club level Heinzle played VEU Feldkirch throughout his entire career. He helped them to win the Austrian championship eight times (1982-84, 1990, 1994-97).
