Bob Holme grew up in Colorado. He competed for the US at two Winter Olympics and at the 1993 World Championships, where he was the top-ranked American. His best national result came when he was runner-up at the 1993 US Championships. Holme later settled in Winter Park, Colorado where he became Program Director and Head Coach of the Competition Center Snowboard Team, and the manager of Terrain Parks, Bike, and Youth Marketing.
