Bob Huscher was in the US Navy in 1968 when he competed at the Winter Olympics. In 1967 he had been on winning teams at the North American, Gold Cup, and Diamond International races. His biggest achievement in the sport came in 1969 when he rode a middle seat on the four-man sled that won a bronze medal at the 1969 World Championships. He retired from bobsledding in 1974.
