Biography

Sunao Okamoto played singles and doubles at the 1924 Olympics. He also competed at Wimbledon in 1924, losing in round one of singles to René Lacoste and making the third round in doubles. Okamoto also played Davis Cup for Japan in 1924, appearing in two ties and winning two of six matches. He later became president of the Dai Ichi Trading Company and was an advisor to Japan’s finance ministry.
