Zdeněk Jarkovský was a goaltender who spent his entire club career with ČLTK Praha, playing from 1940-48. He played for Czechoslovakia at the 1947 World Championships, and helped them win a silver medal at the 1948 Winter Olympics, where he played in three games as the second Czechoslovak goalie. Jarkovský lost his life in the Czechoslovak hockey air disaster, when the national team was flying from Paris to London in November 1948, and the plane went down over the English Channel, claiming the lives of six members of the Czechoslovakian national team.
