Biography

From 1928 to 1944, throughout his career, except for a short stint in Switzerland, Zoltán Jeney played for BKE, winning four Hungarian Championships, and was a member of the team that won the World University Championships in 1933, 1935, and 1937. With the Hungarian national team, he participated in a total of eight hockey world championships, as well as the 1936 Garmisch Winter Olympics, and earned 62 caps.

Between 1943-44 Jeney was the Hungarian national coach. He held a doctorate in law. In recognition of his role in Hungarian hockey, the Hungarian Hockey Association awarded him a posthumous award in 2011.
