During the late 1950s and the early 1960s Hermann Kindle represented Liechtenstein in international Alpine skiing competitions. In 1956 Kindle was one of eight athletes the nation sent to the Cortina d’Ampezzo Olympics. He competed in the downhill event but was one of almost 30 skiers who were disqualified during the competition. Two years later he competed at the 1958 Alpine World Ski Championships in Austria, finishing 51st in the downhill and 55th in the giant slalom. In 1960 Kindle returned to the Olympics and competed in three events at the Squaw Valley Games, with a best finish of 27th in the slalom.
