Russian figure skater Konstantin Kokora made his first appearance at the Blue Swords competition in East Germany in 1972 where he won bronze in the singles. Kokora went on to win gold at the event in 1974, followed by another one two years later. He also had success at the Prize of Moscow News tournament, winning bronze in 1975, gold in 1978, and silver in 1980, along with a gold medal at the 1981 Universiade in Jaca in northeast Spain. In 1980 Kokora competed in the singles at the Lake Placid Olympics where he finished 10th.
Kokora had a good record in domestic competitions too, winning two bronze medals (1978, 1980) and a gold (1979). At the 1974 USSR Cup he became the first Soviet skater to land three triple jumps in his free skate. After his competitive career Kokora worked as a referee and a coach.
