Born in Lviv in 1920 Bolesław Kolasa first played ice hockey for Pogoń Lwów from 1935 to 1939. After the end of World War II Kolasa briefly represented Wisła Kraków before spending the rest of his career with Polonia Bytom. He also played in 17 matches for the Polish national team, including four games at the 1948 St. Moritz Olympics where he scored two goals. After his playing career Kolasa spent two spells as the coach of Pogoń Lwów during the 1950s and 1960s.
