Biography
Gert Kompajn was an Austrian ice hockey defence and member of the Olympic national team at the 1988 Calgary Winter Olympics. The team was eliminated in the group stage and finished ninth. Domestically, Kompajn played with Klagenfurter AC, EC Graz, EK Zell am See, and EV Zeltweg until his retirement in 1996. Kompajn later briefly coached hockey and his two sons took up the sport.
