Biography

Jan Kristiansen was a Norwegian speed skater who represented Oslo IL. At the 1953 junior Norwegian all-round championships Kristiansen won the silver medal. Three years later he competed in the 1,500 metres at the 1956 Cortina d’Ampezzo Olympics where he finished in 16th place. In 1957 he competed in the World and European all-round championships, finishing in eighth place at both.

Personal Bests: 500 – 44.1 (1957); 1500 – 2:13.7 (1956); 5000 – 8:09.0 (1963); 10000 – 17:18.3 (1957).
