Valentin Kuzin started his career in 1948 with Dynamo Novosibirsk, joining Dynamo Moskva in 1950, and playing there until the end of his playing career in 1961. He won one Soviet title in 1954. Besides his Olympic gold, Kuzin was a World Champion in 1954 and 1956 and won silver at the World Championships in 1955. He also won European Championships in 1954-56 and won gold in 1953 at the World Student Winter Games.
