Charles-Albert Brécy specialized in the motor-paced event, placing third in the 1903 French Championship. He was seventh in 1901, and in 1904, abandoned the event. He died in November 1904 during an attempt at the world motor-paced hour record, when the fork broke on the motorcycle pacing him and he crashed, dying from the injuries he sustained.
