A professional tennis player at the Turnier Club in Berlin, F. W. Henton represented Great Britain at the 1900 Paris Olympics. In the professional singles event he lost all five of his round-robin matches without winning a set. He fared better in the professional doubles handicap event, winning the silver medal with partner W. Marshall. That, however, was only thanks to a bye immediately into the final without playing a single game. In the final they were beaten by Tom Burke and George Kerr 3-6, 6-3, 1-6.
