Biography

Shayne Culpepper was a distance runner who competed at the 2000 and 2004 Olympic Games. Culpepper started college at the University of Vermont but transferred to the University of Colorado after her freshman year.

Culpepper was US Indoor Champion in the 2004 3,000 metres and the 2007 mile. She also won the 2003 US Cross-Country Championships. Culpepper won a bronze medal in the 3,000 metres at the 2004 World Indoor Championships.

The former Shayne Wille, she married USA Olympian and distance runner Alan Culpepper. Shayne Culpepper competed at the 2004 Olympics only about 1½ years after giving birth to their first child.
