Nick Hysong was an American pole vaulter who won the gold medal at the 2000 Sydney Olympics. He competed at the World Championships in 1999, 2001, and 2005, earning a bronze medal in 2001. Hysong also won a silver medal at the 2000 IAAF Grand Prix Final.
Hysong attended school at Arizona State University, winning the PAC-10 Conference Championship and the NCAA Championship as a senior. He later became a pole vault coach at Chaparral High School in Arizona and owned his own sports performance facility in Phoenix, RISEN Performance.
