Born in California in the United States, Nicole Di Salvio made her début with the national softball team at the 2000 Sydney Olympics. A right-handed pitcher, her first Italian club was Specchiasol Bussolengo. Di Salvio also competed at the 2004 Athens Olympics, and won three European Championships in 2001, 2003, and 2005.
