Biography

Dick Lamby started his college career at Salem State College but after the 1976 Winter Olympics, moved to Boston University, playing with them in 1976-78. Lamby was a defenseman who had a few years in the NHL, playing with the St. Louis Blues in 1978-81, appearing in a total of 22 games. He also represented the US at the 1975 and 1978 World Championships. Lamby spent much of his career on various minor league teams. He played from 1978-81 with the Salt Lake Golden Eagles of the Central Hockey League and finished his career in 1981-82 on three different teams, the Muskegon Mohawks of the International Hockey League, and the Central Hockey League’s Dallas Black Hawks and Fort Worth Texans. Lamby later became a fishing captain.
