Art Langley was from Melrose, Massachusetts, and represented the Melrose Athletic Club when he made the 1924 Olympic team. Langley served in the US Army in World War I, and the Army Air Corps in World War II. He was a career military officer, and retired as a colonel. Langley is buried in Arlington National Cemetery.
