Thomas Litz won the US men’s championship in 1963, and placed second in 1964. He competed internationally only in 1964, finishing sixth at both the Winter Olympics and the World Championships. Litz is known for that World Championship performance, as he became the first skater to successfully perform a triple toe loop in competition. He later became a coach, based in Lake Placid, New York.
